Attention Government Agencies:

We are down to the wire for our 8th Annual Reverse Vendor Trade Show and we are excited to once again present this great networking opportunity, at Boise Centre in their new addition, Boise Centre East.  This unique event allows Government Agencies to meet and talk directly to vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other service providers from across the state at one time. As a public procurement professional, you will be able to provide valuable information to the vendor community on how to do business with your agency.

The Agencies staff booths while vendors roam the trade show room and meet with individuals from each of the entities.  Note that if you are signing up for this event it is expected that someone from your agency will be hosting a booth!

CAN WE COUNT ON YOUR AGENCY TO PARTICIPATE?

By joining in on the IPPA 8th Annual RVTS:

  • Your agency may be meeting its outreach goals much more effectively
  • You may reduce the number of supplier visits to your office
  • Your agency is viewed as being “accessible” to the supplier community
  • You'll make valuable business contacts for your agency
  • Your participation in this event raises scholarship funds for the IPPA Chapter to professionally grow

WHAT'S INVOLVED:

At least one to two members from your agency would be staffing a table and meeting with company representatives.  You may bring your agency display, literature about doing business with your agency, business cards, and giveaway items.

Procurement professionals, project managers, representatives from IT, Engineering, and other agency departments active in contracting for goods and services should definitely attend! Suppliers want to meet with decision makers and those who specify or use goods and services.

Reach out to your agency departments and bring several people to help staff your booth!

A buffet lunch will be served to agency members that work their booths at no cost from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., please make sure to let us know how many will be staying for lunch on your registration so that we can have an accurate head count. After lunch, Keynote Speaker, Tammy Rimes, Executive Director of National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP), will be on the stage!

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR AGENCY TODAY!

PHILANTHROPY SPOTLIGHT: BOISE BICYCLE PROJECT

They are a nonprofit bicycle cooperative that promotes the personal, social, & environmental benefits of bicycling. They function as a bicycle recycling center & educational workspace in a diverse & non-threatening atmosphere. Through education & access to affordable refurbished bicycles, BBP strives to build a stronger bicycling community.

This year we will be contributing to the Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway. It is Boise Bicycle Project's biggest event of the year, where hundreds of kids in the Treasure Valley receive their "Dream Bike." Kids are referred to us from schools, nonprofits and community centers, and each kid gets to draw, describe, and dream up their perfect bicycle. On December 21st, BBP's staff, board, volunteers and members get together to bring those Dream Bikes to life! This year our goal is to give away 500 bicycles in one day. We guarantee each child gets a safety lesson, new helmet, lights, and locks with the bicycle and we need help gathering those supplies! Help us set the next generation of bicyclists up for successful and safe rides by donating helmets, lights, and locks!

We will also have donation jars being passed around during the luncheon for monetary donations, if preferred.
